What is Draw Schedule?

A predetermined timeline specifying when and how much money from a construction holdback will be released to the borrower or GC as work progresses. Each draw typically requires inspection verification before release.

Why it matters to bridge lenders

The draw schedule is your control mechanism during construction. But if the GC is unlicensed, underinsured, or has a history of abandoned projects, no draw schedule can protect you. Validating the GC upfront prevents problems that draw management alone can’t solve.
