What is Good Standing?
An entity status indicating that a business has met all state filing requirements, paid all fees, and is authorized to transact business. The opposite — not in good standing — typically means delinquent filings, unpaid taxes, or administrative dissolution.
Why it matters to bridge lenders
Lending to an entity that’s not in good standing creates legal risk. The entity may lack the authority to enter into contracts or hold title to property. PulseClose checks SOS status in all 50 states and flags any entity that isn’t active and in good standing.
